Creating for people is tough. We develop for millions, however every interaction in between our work and a user is personal, and we aren’t taught to make sure with those interactions. I created this course because I desire everything we design to fulfill the genuine needs and wants of real individuals.
This course draws from my current book with Sara Wachter-Boettcher, Design for Real Life and is best for students who are new to style or wanting to reinforce their emerging user experience design skillset. And considering that design is everywhere, a vast array of experts will benefit from this course.
If you want a set of tools for stress-testing your work to ensure it’s as human-centered, thoughtful, and inclusive as possible, this is the course for you.
By the end of the course, you will have gone through useful workouts around how to challenge your vision and style a caring user research study process; seen how to improve interviews and speak with genuine individuals about their user experiences with your product; explored new ways to believe outside as well as inside package; and practiced ways to prevent the one-track mind all of us too often develop about our own work.
